Jen Allen, MSN, FNP
Co-Founder & CEO
I’m a Family Nurse Practitioner and the co-founder and CEO of Front Range Family Resource Center, where I’m dedicated to making high-quality mental health care accessible and compassionate for everyone. Before founding FRFRC, I spent twelve years as a registered nurse, much of that time working in inner-city emergency departments. Those years gave me a deep understanding of mental health, trauma, and the resilience of the human spirit.
Shortly after earning my master’s degree and becoming a nurse practitioner, my world changed forever when my husband and I lost our son, Daniel, to suicide. That loss shifted everything—both personally and professionally. I left traditional medicine to focus on what truly matters to me: helping others find hope and healing through grief, and creating a space where both clients and clinicians feel seen, supported, and valued.
At Front Range Family Resource Center, my goal is to build a community of dedicated professionals who want to grow roots, not just careers—a place where therapists can thrive and clients know they are not alone.
Who I Am
Outside of my work, I’m the proud wife of Jeremy, an Air Force veteran and psychotherapist. We’ve been married for 29 years and share a beautiful family that keeps us grounded and grateful: our daughter Kaitlyn, our son Daniel, our bonus daughter Cassie, and our two bonus grandbabies, Colt and Sawyer. When I’m not working, you’ll find me traveling, spending time outdoors with Jeremy, and enjoying the chaos and comfort of our three dogs— Frasier, Gromit, and Morty.
