From Personal Struggle to Guiding Light
My journey to becoming a Peer Recovery Coach has been deeply personal, marked by both struggle and incredible growth. Born and raised in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, the opportunity to help within my own community feels like the right thing to do. Just over two years ago, I embarked on my own path to recovery, facing challenges that tested my resilience. It was during this critical time that the consistent, daily encouragement from my own peer recovery coach became an absolutely essential lifeline. Their unwavering support, understanding, and shared experience provided a beacon through some of my toughest days. I truly believe that I would not have successfully navigated my journey without their guidance and empathy.
A Dream Realized: Giving Back
This profound personal experience ignited a passion within me to step into this new role. To now officially be a Peer Recovery Coach is a dream come true, a role I’ve long admired and one that feels incredibly meaningful. There were times when I wondered if this opportunity would ever materialize, making this achievement even sweeter. If I can offer even a fraction of the support, insight, and companionship that I received, and help someone else as they navigate their own experiences, then I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that I will be fulfilling my purpose. Having the opportunity to work in and with a community that means so much to me made me realize that I am right where I am meant to be, doing exactly what I am meant to be doing. To walk alongside someone, offering a hand up and a listening ear, feels like the most profound way I can give back.

This dream would not have become a reality without the incredible support and unwavering encouragement from the Front Range Family Resource Center. Their belief in me, their resources, and their commitment to community well-being have been instrumental in preparing me for this next chapter. I am immensely grateful for their partnership and for opening this door for me. I also obtained my certification from Hard Beauty YOUniverisity, whose mission to empower people to rise and thrive beyond their circumstances deeply resonates with my own journey.
Embracing the Future
I am super excited to embark on this new adventure, to learn, to grow, and to contribute in a way that truly matters. I look forward to connecting with and supporting individuals on their paths to recovery, knowing that every step forward is a victory worth celebrating.
